Our next take home project is the Turkey Disguise and Story Project. This is a mandatory project and will be graded using the attached rubric. The project should reflect the ability of a second grader, use the writing process, and show work over time. If you have questions, please ask your classroom teacher. Thank you for your cooperation.
Task: The turkey attached is determined to avoid becoming someone’s Thanksgiving dinner. Your challenge as a family is to create a story and a disguise about how your turkey managed to survive for one more year. Feel free to use any materials you need to disguise your turkey. You may use fabric, markers, crayons, yarn, construction paper, or other items.
Grading: The rubric below will be used to grade this project. Help from others is encouraged, but the majority of the project should reflect the ability of a second grader.
No late assignments will be accepted.
